My 1 year old iPhone 12 just died. It was as good as new, lying on my desk and working fine and suddenly stopped working. Nothing happens if I plug it in. There had been no issues while using it. Anyone else had the same problem or knows what could have caused this?
Even if there is no damage, it may have been a hardware issue, so I would recommend getting an Apple Genius to check it out.

That pretty much tells them there is a logic board issue but you can always try to find a competent 3rd part repair site that can do micro soldering and see if they can do anything for you. If you go that route Apple may refuse to do any service with your iPhone in the future.
Apple Genius could not figure out an issue with it (they didn't open it up though) and so suggested replacing the entire hardware system.
Opening up would not tell them anything. Did they connect it to their network and run diagnostics?
Yes, they ran it but couldn't find anything besides the fact the current consumption was 0.
