My MacBook Pro (14-inch, 2021) restarted during the night, if connected to the 27-inch Thunderbolt Display...

I am using this Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C) to Thunderbolt 2 Adapter to connect my MBP with the Thunderbolt Display Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C) to Thunderbolt 2 Adapter - Apple

I have tested several scenarios..

This restart issue won't happen if I don't connect my MBP with the Thunderbolt Display.

This restart issue won't happen if I connect my MBP with the Thunderbolt Display, as long as I don't keep my MBP in the sleep mood too long...

I have contacted Apple Support, they ever guided me to reinstalled my Mac OS from the safe mood and so on, but I am still facing the same issue (my MBP restarted by itself when I work in the morning)

Hi ErichHuang,

It sounds like you have done some great troubleshooting so far and have managed to isolate this to the display or connection. Is there another cable or display to test? If so, that can help determine if this is due to the external monitor itself or another factor such as the cable.

It may also be a good idea to check your Energy Saver settings. Check out Set sleep and wake settings for your Mac and Save energy on your Mac.
