MacBook Pro using El Capitan 10.11.6

I have a MacBook Pro El Capitan 10.11.6 and my Safari version is 11.1.2. I have trusted websites saying my current Safari version is out of date needs to update yet when I check my system updates it says no updates available at this time. I have started having website and email problems not showing pictures as well. Has Apple quit supporting this computer and if not I would like to get it up to date.
