No, you do not want or need to use third party Cleaners or AVware on a Mac.

Just to add, CleanMyMac was never safe to use.
Can I remove all traces by simply dragging it to the Trash
It appears to have worked fine... Thanks for your assistance... I have a green belt in MAC meaning I know just enough not to run away but not enough to keep from getting hurt.... :o)
