Charging issues with IPad 6th generation.

Lately I have a hard time when I plug my IPad Air 6th generation in. I have to plug it in a dozen times before it acknowledges the power cord. Doesn’t matter which cord I use, new old, new one. The port doesn’t seem to be dirty. What else could I try, is it a setting after an update?

If you already tried (to no avail) all the steps provided in the support article that led you here, it might be a damaged charging port but we, just users like you, cannot diagnose that kind of issue remotely, sorry.

I suggest that you make an appointment (*) and have your device inspected at an Apple Store or AASP (Apple Authorized Service Provider) among this list:--> Apple – Location Selector. After checking it out, they'll give you all the available options.
