Restore Opera bookmarks from backup

I've read most all of the suggestions here, on the Opera website, and Googled for help with this BUT: When I try to search for the Opera bookmarks folder on my backup drive in the "Go to" field I cannot access the username/Library/Application Support folder that's normally hidden on my MacBook Pro. If I try to search for a file name in the search field of the displayed backup on the external drive it automatically takes me back to my Mac.

Anyone know of a way around this? (Of course, I'm assuming Time Machine has saved the username/Library but if it doesn't do that, the bookmarks are lost.

Thoughts?
