Restore iPhone

Trying to restore iphone. Itunes is up to date but says must use latest version of itunes to restore iphone. What do I do now?

iPhone 6, Win 7, iTunes 12.10.11

to restore your iphone you need to install the latest version of itunes There’s a problem with my daughters phone and we need to restore it. However, when I try to do this via iTunes I get the message “to restore your iphone you need to install the latest version of itunes”. The thing is, I’ve just installed the latest version (and restarted computer) and still getting the message. for info it’s an iPhone 8 and we’re on windows 8.

12.10.11 was the last version of iTunes to support Windows 7, but it is nearly a year old and did not support iOS 15. You need to use a PC running Windows 10 or 11 now.
