Don’t have the Apple ID or password

I was gifted an Apple Watch but don’t have and can’t get the Apple ID or password from the Watch.. so I can’t pair it with my phone.. any ideas?

the activation lock is not really on the ipad it's a theft protection measure on apples servers


it needs to be removed

Whoever "gifted" you the watch must be able to remove the watch from their account, thus removing Activation Lock. If they can't or won't, they have "gifted" you a totally, completely useless watch you can use for nothing more than a wrist ornament.


Without the original purchase receipt which shows the serial number of the watch, Apple will not help you.


Bottom line - Get whoever gifted the watch to you to remove activation lock or give it back to them. Or if that's not possible, recycle the watch responsibly as it is useless to anyone.
