2022 MacBook Pro 12.2.1 16". Using Logitech wireless mouse or wired old traveling RadioShack mouse - same issue: They grab things and don't let go of them unless I hit "ESC" . The problem occurs almost always and starts happening soon after beginning to us the mouse but not immediately. I haven't discovered the cause of making it happen or how to "turn this effect off". Not even sure what to call it. Some user had a similar problem a few years ago but no solution other than PRAM or SMC.
I think somehow I must have turned on this action but searching for the function has not turned up anything. Please help. This MBP is only a few weeks old.
