Ipad wont charge

How to get my ipad to charge. Same setup charges my iphone just fine.

iPad Pro 10.5-inch, Wi-Fi, Cellular

Thank you. The Apple cord I used worked on my iphone, but not the ipad. When I tried a brand new cord the ipad charged. Go figure.
