How many processes is it normal to have in activity monitor?

I have 10 apps open on my MacBook Pro m1 (5 are menu bar apps), but Activity Monitor is showing a ton of processes are active (Some are in the screenshot below). I was wondering if I need to do anything about that, or if it is normal to have that many processes.

How do I remove these percentages and keep them from loading again?

Activity Monitor in macOS Catalina 10.15.7 When I try to glean any information from the Activity Monitor application in the latest version of Catalina, it only displays a column of process names without any of the other columns selected via the View menu. I have restarted the computer several times and this situation remains the same. In this condition the Activity Monitor is of no use. I am running this on a mid 2012 MBP 13" non Retina machine. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Bruce

MacOS is busy all of the time, even during "sleep". There is no "absolute normal", just "normal for you".

If you are experiencing issues like kernel panics or occasional mid-step-stalls, please advise.
