error msg when dragging photos to folder

I'm trying to copy some 7000+ images from Photos for Mac into a Finder folder. Most were copied but a fair number triggered an unusual error message. The gist of the message is that the photos couldn't be exported because I don't have permission. Please see screenshot for complete message.

Can anyone shed light on this and provide advice on how to correct this error?

Thank you,

Tod

If you drag from photos, you only get a poor quality preview image. If you want full quality you should use file>export. Try some of the failing images using file>export to see if they will work that way.

Where is the folder you are dragging to? If it is an external volume, what is the format.

@TonyCollinet:

Thank you for pointing me in the right dirrction. I honestly wasn't aware of the File > Export option. That's what happens when you're Mac user since '85 and you can't even remember to look at the menu options.

In answer to your question: It is a newly created folder in my Downloads folder called Photos from Photo App.

Cheers!
