How to unpair the watch when you no longer have the phone it’s paired to?

Bought an Apple Watch that is still paired with the previous owners old phone he no longer has. How do I unpair it and pair to my phone?

You can't. He must remove the watch from his account. Send him this link and him follow the directions. If he can't or doesn't, you're the proud owner of a watch you can't use and no one from Apple will help you with.


He needs to do what is listed in the section, if you already gave away your watch --> https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT208855
