How can I get my iPhoto contents transferred to Photos on my Mac?
How can I get the data from iPhoto (no longer supported) transferred to somewhere else on my Mac? Should I try to transfer the data to Photos?

Hold down the option key while opening the Photos app and it will give you the option to select your iPhotos library; it will open and convert it.
