British pound sign on US keyboard?

It has changed on new MacBooks 2021 to Shift 3 from Opt 3.

Nothing has changed. Where you get £ always depends on what you have set in System Preference > Keyboard > Input Sources. If you have US or ABC as your input source, £ is on Option 3. If you have British there, it will be on Shift 3.


If you prefer £ on Option 3, go to those preferences and make sure the only item on the list is US or ABC.
