Can I use Memoji on iPad 8th generation

The Memoji button does not appear in messages on my iPad 8th generation. Is it not available on this iPad version?

Memoji Missing from IPad Messages I’ve searched this whole community all day and haven’t found any suggestions that work. I’ve tried everything. Memoji is not an option for my iPad messages apps. I can’t find anything in the store. It works on 2 of my 3 iPads but the last one is being stubborn. All settings and software updates are triple checked and Memoji is selected. It doesn’t show up as an option in edit.

Memoji button? Where exactly? The Memoji button described in article Use Memoji on your iPhone or iPad Pro - Apple Support is not visibly available in my iPhone 6s Plus iOS 15.5 iMessages, nor my iPad Pro 9.7 iOS 15.5 iMessages. The Apple instructions are inadequate. Can someone guide me better than Apple in this essentially trivial task? Thanks in advance.

Nvm…I found the answer that it is not possible with the iPad version I have.
