Target Display and Port confusion

Can I use my iMac mid 2011 with thunderbolt 1 as my target display to Macbook Pro 2020. I can't find thunderbolt to usb c cables. Most of the cables are the mini display port cables which are not supported by the iMacs with thunderbolt 1 ports. My question is whether it is possible to use or I should not expect?
