Stuck setting up ipad.

My new ipad stuck on Connected to Computer screen and I can't move forward in the setup? I have tried restarting both. I can see the ipad in itunes.

ipad 9th generation software ios 15.2.1

macbook pro version 10.12.6

I see that your Mac isn’t running the latest version of macOS. Update macOS on Mac – Apple Support (UK)

That could be causing the problem, that version of macOS is older than iPadOS 15 by quite a few years…


Also, you could just set the iPad up standalone and restore it from an iCloud backup, or use Quick Start.
