How do I stop my Apple TV 4K from shutting off automatically? I have turned off sleep, updated software, unplugged for 5 minutes, restarted, and did a hard reset(back and tv button). It still turns off after 5-15-20 minutes

This did not solve my issue. Still shut off the Apple TV after 15 minutes. Only happens on some apps. Not Hulu or Netflix but shuts off on peacock
Your “only happens on some apps” observation is a curve ball to be sure. FWIW, I occasionally watch the Peacock app to catch up on SNL episodes and it never shut down my ATV4K (perhaps you got the special “Must-[Not]-see TV” Peacock app version :-). Sorry.
Anyway, I’m not ready to blame certain apps… If it were me I would simplify the setup to just the ATV4K connected to the TV and put up with TV speakers for 15 minutes to narrow down the problem’s location. If it persists, I would then contact Apple Support via chat/call-back.
Is some other HDMI-connected device turning off or going to sleep and bringing the Apple TV down with it via CEC?
I checked my setting on my Bose 700 and there is a timer for 20 minutes. I will give that a shot. Thank you
