My Airpods Max's are not playing. They are showing connected and appear to be playing but no sound is coming through the headphones. I have reset the headphones several times to no avail.

if it was me then I would make the phone forget them and pair them once again
and maybe test them with other devices like a computer or tablet with bluetooth to verify they are not defect
