VLC Not Launching on macOSMonterey and Catalina

VLC stopped working while using Catalina on MacBook Pro 16 Inch 2019 (Intel Chip)

Upgraded to Monterey in hopes it would fix the bug, but no luck.

Have uninstalled and re installed but the VLC icon just jumps once when pressed but doesn't launch the program. Thus, not able to access any of the preferences.

I have tried to go back to older versions but still no luck.

If anyone has had any luck resolving this issue, would be very much appreciated if shared.
