My Iphone is badly damaged , how do i turn off find my phone ?

My Iphone is badly damaged and so there is no switching it on , how do i turn off "find my phone" function so that i can send it off for replacement as they tell me the "find my phone function" needs to be turned off first .. I am using the sim card from the damaged phone on and old iPhone until i get the new replacement

Log in to https://icloud.com with the Apple ID being used on the iPhone. Then in the Find My App there, erase it, and remove it from your account. See here for details: Remove a device from Find My iPhone on iCloud.com - Apple Support
