iOS 15.2 update internet connection issue

Is there an issue with the 15.2 update? Will Apple address this issue? I've updated my iPhone (6s Plus) and my iPad (Pro 2021) to iOS 15.2. Now they both keep losing internet connection on my home network, and I have to power off the devices and start up again. Non-Apple products have not been having any problems with the home network.

Hello debb209,

It sounds like both of your devices, the iPhone and iPad, are having trouble staying connected to your Wi-Fi network after updating to OS 15.2. Let’s see if we can help find the cause of this behavior.

Look at the article If you r iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch won’t connect to a Wi-Fi network. If you have already tried a step you can skip over it.

If you are still unable to maintain a connection with your Wi-Fi network, reach back out and let us know:

-Does this happen with all Wi-Fi networks, or just your home?

-Do you have any problems with the cellular data connection?

Take care!

debb209,

Thanks for sharing the exact message you are seeing. You will want to take a look at Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points and make sure your network settings are set up per Apple's recommendations.

After making any changes to your network, or you found no settings that needed to be changed and you are still seeing this message, you will want to contact Apple Support. They can be reached by going to Get Support.

Cheers!

Matthew,

First I get a "Privacy Warning - This network is blocking encrypted DNS traffic". Then I get "No Internet Connection". I am trying to figure out if it is something with my VPN (Malwarebytes Privacy). To get connection back, I need to restart everything. I was having issues with using cellular until I disable the VPN. Then it works. The only other wi-fi network I use is at work, and it hasn't happened there.
