InfusiCalc App

I am a critical care nurse working in a transport environment (helicopter and ground ambulance). We move very sick patients between hospital ICUs and Emergency Departments. A reliable and incredibly effective app called InfusiCalc by Dr. Chris Jones is no longer available on the App Store. This dose calculator with a database that can be edited to match your organizations formulary allows me to move quickly and safely in emergencies. There is NOTHING like it. I have used it for many years. As far back as Palm Pilot. It worked on my last phone that I just replaced with a 13 pro. Despite a saved ipa file, Apple prevents me from use of my valued and purchased product. Unacceptable. Our medical community now depend on tools like this. The iPhone is mine. I purchased it, in part, for this reason. Let's get this issue resolved. Please. For better patient care in a difficult environment.

iPhone 13 Pro, iOS 15

This has nothing to do with Apple unless the app itself broke the rules. Most likely the app developer didn't want to support it anymore.

You can try to contact the app developer and ask for his support.

How to contact an app developer.

New user to this forum. My reply did not show on the forum after a few minutes, and refreshing the page. I thought I may have failed to post it correctly. So, I retried under my initial post. Yes, I know it is user to user forum. That's why I wanted to make sure those users kind of enough to reply, got a response back from me. I am not sure if you know, that Apple directs these issues to the forum when you seek Support. I have yet been able to find another way.

I appreciate the responses. I did communicate with the developer. He confirmed (what he had written earlier), that Apple made it impossible for him to update the app. That he (a physician with 25 years experience), who has been selling this unique app for 20 years, is not "safe" to sell drug dosing apps. I would really like to see the development policy or rule that he refers to. The users are caught in the middle. My priority is to use an app I already purchased. That app is still working on my old iPhone (XR on ios v 14.8), and I have a copy of the ipa file saved on my PC. Third party software companies who help transfer ios files have confirmed that Apple blocks that from happening. I need a break from corporate Apple. I should be able to transfer the app somehow. Right? It's not like I want to play a game app. Literally, no medical dosing app on App Store can do what InfusiCalc does.

To say Apple has no part in this, is wrong. I would like their help to resolve the transfer issue. Finding a way to even communicate to them leads me here. And, all of you are my "help line".
