How to change the menu bar colour on OS Monterey

Hi,

I have just updated my MacBook Pro to the latest version of Monterey and it has changed my menu bar colour to a horrible light grey colour. It was previously black when set at auto light/dark mode with the exact same background.

I have tried changing transparency, contrast etc., changed to dark mode and changed the settings. When I enter dark mode the rest of the menus go dark however the top bar stays light.

I just want a black menu bar across the top and the rest of the screen to operate automatically on light/dark mode.

MacBook Pro 16″, macOS 12.1
