I can’t use my Apple ID balance to buy a game

Yes.

Just find the game, and click on the "Price" to purchase it. It will automatically use the balance to buy it. You don't have to manually select it.

Remember, in the U.S. prices in the store are before taxes. so if you buy something that is $14.99 the $15 card may not be enough too cover the game and any sales tax that may be applied in your location.

I have this same problem.

however I have followed the advice mentioned above but to no avail. I have screenshot the steps in the hope someone could help???

my steps are as follows:

• I tap on the ‘price’ to purchase game.

• Then verification is required, so I tap continue.

• Add payment screen pops up.

• I tap ‘back’ because I don’t use a credit card.

• the Manage Payments screen appears.

• I tap on Apple ID.

• Then my only options left is to ‘redeem’ or ‘add funds’.

any advice would be much appreciated.
