Hi all. Hope someone can help me. I am trying to reset my fathers iPad (he has dementia) for my mother. We don’t know the passcode so though we would reset it. To date have had no luck as I do t know his details (passwords etc). Any help or direction would be greatly appreciated. The phone associated and email accounts are no longer active.

Without the apple ID and Password of the original owner who set up the iPad, you will not be able to use it. Activation Lock is a theft prevention feature. We cannot help and Apple will not unless you can provide the original receipt clearly showing the serial number. You can recycle the device at any Apple Store.
