Sidecar loses the cursor!

Opening my iPad as a second display works fine for a moment or two: the cursor moves back and forth between them, windows can be moved too. But after a few moments, the cursor no longer will appear there and the second display essentially freezes uselessly. This behavior started when I "upgraded" to Big Sur, just recently. Will Catalina solve it?

We understand that you're having trouble with Sidecar, so we'd like to see how we can help. If you haven't done so already, restart your devices. Sometimes a simple restart can fix unexpected behavior. Instead of reverting to macOS Catalina, make sure your iPad is running the latest version of iPadOS, then upgrade your Mac if possible.

If the issue persists, switch Handoff off and back on for both devices: Use Handoff to continue tasks on your other devices, then do the same with Bluetooth.
