Was giving an ipad

Was given an iPad for my daughter to use had it wiped but says there is an Apple ID connected to it I do not have that persons info. How do I go about connecting this to mine??

You can’t. You’ll need to contact the person who gave the iPad and ask them to release the device from their Apple ID before the device can accept a new Apple ID. This is called Activation Lock and it is a theft deterrent, it cannot be bypassed.
