Looking to add Documents folder to iCloud. Clicked, drag to iCloud Drive (on Finder), "poof"! Disappeared. Say it ain't so. How can I get them back?

Open finder and its preferences , in side bar section under iCloud check the box of documents Change Finder preferences on Mac - Apple Support
