Hi guys, I messed up my iMac operative system... nothing works (recovery disc, time machine, etc). Finally found the dmg file but now I need to make a bootable drive without using "magic apps"... HELP

Create install media I have a 2009 MacBook which use to have OS X Mountain Lion. The hard drive failed and now it has a blank hard drive. I do have access to a 2015 MacBook Air, A windows 10 PC and Linux PC. Is it possible to create a bootable install media on any of these machines? I already purchased the "Install OS X Mountain Lion 10.8.5.app from Apple.
