Does my iMac 21.5-inch, Late 2009 3.06GHz, 10,1 come with a 2.5 or 3.5 SATA drive?
What is the largest drive it supports? Bigger than 2 TB? (I do not want SSD) Thank you for your time and patience.

It has a 3.5" HDD.

If you need additional storage, I suggest that you use an external FireWire 800 drive. Since this is an older technology, your only choice now is an OWC Mercury Elite Pro - OWC. It also has USB 3 ports.
Then, you can move your large files and libraries to this drive without disassembling the Mac for a larger drive.
