Someone needs to work with Siri. I downloaded the latest iOS update and she sounds horrible. Bringing me down. I don’t want to use the service anymore with this new sad tone. Ugh.

To the best of my knowledge, there has been no update released in December. What version of iOS are you referring to?
People have complained that Siri sounds more "robotic" if you have Low Power Mode enabled. See if that might make a difference for you.

Software version 15.1 on iPhone 11. It updated today. Oh.. so weird! I turned off low power mode. I have used it many times in that mood but she sounds so different today. Thank you for the reply!
