Do I need to buy an Apple Watch 7 with a GPS and a separate phone line for the apple watch to record my Activities (Steps,Calories, Distance?).
I'm a bit confused about what the separate phone line is used for, other than phone calls, texts and maybe email.

A GPS-only watch can do everything a GPS+Cellular watch can do as long as the paired iPhone is nearby. There is no need to get a cellular watch to record your steps, calories, distance, etc. Even if your iPhone is not with you, both versions of the watch will record that data.

Thanks very much! helps me understand the differences in Cellular and non cellular. Now I just have to figure out if my cell phone will usually be nearby or not. Actually, I think I can live without cellular service on my wrist .... Thank you
