“Unable to join the network”

Hello.


I’ve been having a problem to connect my iPad (11 inch, Wifi + Cellular) to Wifi. I’ve been trying to connect it for a few hours now, but every time I type in the Wifi password it shows “unable to join the network”. I tried to connect it with my iPhone’s hotspot but for the first time it couldn’t connect.

This is what I’ve tried to do:

  1. Turned on and of Wifi multiple times
  2. Restarted the iPad 3 times
  3. Reseted the Network settings twice


At the same time Wifi on my iPhone is working perfectly fine, so router can’t be the problem. And I also tried to Share networks password from iPhone to iPad and still didn’t work.


Please help me, I don’t know what else to do.

Start here:

If your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch won’t connect to a Wi-Fi network - Apple Support


If you have a VPN App or profiles installed, or a security App such as Norton, these may be interfering with DHCP and preventing your device from obtaining a valid IP Address for your network. The resolution is relatively simple; may only need to temporarily disable or remove the Security App and/or VPN.


DHCP is frequently used to automatically obtain an IP Address from your WiFi Router. Until your iPad has a valid IP Address to connect to your network, you will not have an internet connection. Disabling or removing VPN and/or the offending security App should allow DHCP to operate normally - allowing connection to your network and the internet.


If this resolves your issue, the VPN and/or security App can be reinstated after the connectivity problem has been resolved.
