How do I get icons to appear in the Favorites Icon Bar in Safari 15.1

The icons do repopulate on the tabs but not on the Favorites bar.

I see no favicon on the favorites bar in Monterey Safari.app.

have you visited the website in question to see if the favicon re-populates...?
