I gave my son my old computer but it has my appleid on it, now our computers connected and acting as if they are one. HELP!

I gave my son my old computer but it has my AppleId on it, (I also did family sharing) but our computers are connected and acting as if they are one. HELP?! I think I may need to create his own AppleId and then add it to family sharing but I don't know how to do this and can't find help FAQ.

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 11.6

If its a Mac you should have signed out of your Apple ID from it and cleared it of your data. Follow the steps here to wipe it and set it up from scratch for your son: link-> What to do before you sell, give away, or trade in your Mac - Apple Support
