This is an exceptionally basic question however I am querying the length of the standard warranty that Apple offers on a brand new iPad

Apple offer a standard one-year limited Warranty. You have the option of adding, at additional cost, AppleCare+ coverage - that extends the standard warranty to two years, with additional benefit of being covered for accidental damage.
