How to resolve no sound alert from text message when screen locked. I spent over an hour at apple store.
iphone8 - iOS version 15.1
apple watch 4 - watchOS 8.1
volume is up ( works if phone is not locked)
we reset all settings
phone is not in do not disturb
under notification Lock Screen is checked
there is a text sound assigned
this ONLY HAPPENS when screen locked.
this ONLY STARTED after iOS 15.1 update

I have the same problem and I need to hear text notification for my job. Apple support has no answers. I am returning new iPhone 13 Pro Max as this bug is not acceptable. Apple's quality has dropped so much and the support offered is disappointing. I hate being forced to android but Apple has given me no choice

It is normal not to receive notifications on your iPhone while it is locked.
The will only show on your Watch.

I have this problem when watch is connected and phone is locked. It works if the watch is not connected
Exactly. Why have the watch if it’s not connected to the phone. It worked before iOS 15.
It might be the way it is now. But it’s not normal. It worked before.
