iPhone XR Black Screen

My phone was at 3 % and i plugged it in to charge and the screen went black I checked it several hours later and it was non responsive...black screen and will not turn on. I used multiple charging cords, checked the port and tried a hard re-set up, down, hold home. Any suggestions??

(1) Ensure that you have performed the Forced ReStart correctly as described below for your iPhone XR:

  • Press and quickly release Volume UP button
  • Press and quickly release Volume DOWN button
  • Press and Hold the SIDE button until an Apple logo appears and then release the Side button (Can take up to 20 seconds. (DO NOT release Side Button when invited to Slide Power OFF).

(2) If the above does not work then - Follow the instructions in this article by Apple ➔ If your iPhone is Non-Responsive or Frozen and see if that helps.
