Superdrive Cd/dvd not show in I mac catalina

please need help

Two things…

A Superdrive has to be plugged directly into a port, no hubs.
It won't show until you insert a disk.

superdrive not working on my imac catalina I can't read any data CD files on my Superdrive, though in System Info, it's recognized. It even displays the title of the data CD and how much data is on it. Just cant get it to show up on my desktop to access the CDs.
