I keep my ipad organized using my desktop computer. But when I travel I use my laptop, which doesn't maintain the same music library as my desktop. I want to add movies to my ipad from my laptop without losing the songs on my ipad. Any suggestions?

Assuming the same AppleID is used on both devices, copy the movie from the laptop
to the desktop and then sync to the iPad. You cannot sync with 2 different libraries
at the same time - if you try, one being synced will replace the one already there.

Thanks, but perhaps you didn't understand my question. If I'm at home with my desktop, obviously there is no problem. But what about when I on the road, without access to my desktop? I was hoping there might be some workaround. Thx!
Your iPad can sync with only 1 library at at time.
No workaround that I am aware of other than
remote access to your desktop when you are on the road.
Perhaps someone more knowledgeable about that
will chime in.
Where are you getting the movie that you are putting on the laptop? Are you making purchases through iTunes? This makes a difference.
They are movies ripped from DVDs I own. So I can't download them again from iTunes. :(
Thank you for that information? As already explained, you cannot sync to more than one library, so adding it to the library on the laptop is not an option.
