I am trying to identify new faces of people on the Mac with photos and when I click on "confirm additional photos," it searches and then starts scrolling through photos, about oner a second, without stopping. It does not give me time to confirm or deny that it is the individual in question. At the end, it says no photos added. What can I do to fix this?

First - make sure you don't have a stuck key or button on your keyboard or mouse, or glitching scroll wheel. (Try disconnecting them to be certain)
If they are OK, try restarting your mac in safe mode, then try again.

This is on a MacBook Pro and there are no stuck keys nor an attached mouse.
It worked in safe mode but reverted to previous behavior when restarted in normal mode.
How can I determine what is causing it?
