No option to enter an Outbound Phone Number in FaceTime in MacOS Monterey

I keep looking for a way to dial an outbound number in Monterey like I could in Big Sur and previous. I can call from the Contacts App or call a recently dialed number but cannot enter a new one. I am sure the ability to dial or copy in a phone number is hidden somewhere and I am not seeing it.

MacBook Pro 16″, macOS 12.0

We understand that you're trying to place calls from your Mac. This is done through FaceTime, as outlined here:


Make calls in FaceTime on Mac


There's a few options. As posted in the article, you can ask Siri “FaceTime audio [phone number]”. Additionally, you can manually type in the number as opposed to contacts when selecting FaceTime participants.
