Apple TV language

Hi, I would like to understand how to get shows and movies in original English - I have a German iTunes account, my phone is set to English as language. When downloading something on Apple TV, I only get the German translation which is quite annoying. It even happens when it says the language is English before purchasing. Thank you for your help
