Do I need to reset my iPhone before returning it?

Hello, I just bought a new iPhone but have decided to return it. I have signed out of iCloud as it asked me to, but it doesn’t say whether to reset the phone itself? I don’t want to do so and risk it syncing across devices, but it seems weird to send it back with all my stuff on it still!

Thanks,

George
