I had upgraded to Monterey, and want to load a complete Time Machine copy from Big Sur. Is that possible?

I had upgraded to Monterey, and want to load a complete Time Machine copy from Big Sur. Is that possible?


The reason was that I didn't have enough space in the computer to upgrade to Monterey, so I deleted the computer to put Monterey in it first. This was the same way I did when upgraded to Big Sur in the past, and then it worked great to just use a Time Machine copy afterwards.


Now I can see the old copies when opening Time Machine, and I can see the folders in Finder. But when I try to choose it it says that it's working with reading it in, and after a while it just jumps to the latest copy instead.


How to do to use one of the old Time Machine copies??
