I have just bought The Paw Patrol movie for my kids to watch from the iTunes Store. It plays on my phone and iPad but won’t play on my Samsung Smart TV with the Apple TV app (although other movies do play).
it just says ‘not compatible, please try a different device’.
Any advice ?

This is the screen I get. Not sure why as it’s a new model Samsung Smart TV.
Are you trying to AirPlay, or loading the movie directly on the TV? Do try the other.
- Check if TV system software updates are available.
- Check if app updates are available.
If the Apple TV app is not working on Samsung TV - Samsung Support
If the issue persists, then reach out to Apple: Contact Apple Support.
I’m having the same issue. Won’t play on my LG via Apple TV (everything else is fine), or on Roku, or via airplay. It’ll only work on my iPhone or MacBook.
Exactly the same issue for me and the exact same film. Every other film works just fine.
if I then try and stream it from my iPad or phone to the Tv it gives another error too.
is it something about that film?

Hi, I’m trying to play it through the Apple TV app. It’s on the latest update. Every other movie I’ve purchased works fine as do TV programs, it’s just the one movie.
