my HomePod won’t manually reset by unplugging waiting 10 seconds, plugging and waiting 10 seconds then holding down til light changes color. My homepod doesn’t reset or connect to the home app.

I’m experiencing the same problem. My home pod stopped responding 4 days ago and I have tried to follow the steps for reboot without success.
Sounds like it might have been removed from the home app (if you don’t see it there?) which is a soft reset. Might need setting up again. Try that
