Buying a Macbook Pro at a China Apple Store

I am considering buying a Macbook Pro at a China Apple Store. Does anyone know if there are hardware differences in the Macbook Pro made for the Chinese market as opposed to the U.S. market?

I know that some apps (e.g. the News app) do not work in China, but when used in the U.S. they will work fine. My question is not about regional differences in software functionality, but about the more fixed differences. For example, all iPhones made for the China market have audio FaceTime permanently disabled, so that audio FaceTime is not available even when used in the U.S. This seems to be a hardware disabled function. Interestingly, video FaceTime works fine.

Is audio FaceTime also disabled for Macbook Pro's made for the Chinese market? Are there such hardware differences with Macbook Pro's purchased in China?

Thank you for sharing any experiences with this.

No hardware differences.

Does anyone have a MacBook purchased in China that can confirm whether FaceTime Audio and Group FaceTime will work? A MacBook Pro purchased in China will have a couple of Chinese characters printed on the key top of the Shift Key key.

I believe that this has nothing to do with if your AppleID is tied to the China region or not. If these functions are restricted, like with iPhone's purchased in China, it will not matter what AppleID you use or which country you use the MacBook in, as it will be a hard coded limitation.
